newhavendolls asked: For some time now I have wondered why you don't photograph different body types? Beauty isn't just skinny.

I completely agree!!

I have always said that I am willing to photograph anyone who is brave enough to pose for me.  Tall, short, thin, or curvy I don’t much care.

For one reason or another it is women on the thinner side who tend to volunteer.  Now I’m no expert on the female mind, but I’m willing to bet societal “norms” tend to keep curvier women from believing anyone would want to see them pose.

I wish that wasn’t the case.  I would gladly work with curvy women.

This image is a little on the dark side in terms of exposure but I still like it anyway. It has some nice shapes and lines going on.My Website | Etsy Shop | Newsletter

I swear my Rollei has appeared in more of my photos than just about any other prop. It’s such a sexy camera I can’t help myself! My Website | Etsy Shop | Newsletter

Anonymous asked: Andy! Lordy it's been a long time! I'd love to know more about your photography and everything else too! Life here in SF is good and the studio is buzzing with all sorts of projects including a LOT of photography! I continue to do photography there and it has recently been used by another very talented photographer working with female models. It has also been used for 2 very slick music videos and a serious porn film! Let's stay in touch! Kyle my GMAIL address is KYLEGLENNSF

Heya!

I’ve been doing pretty well.  I continue to stay busy (maybe even too busy) with work, photography, and a whole lot more.  It’s been a wild ride the last couple of years but that isn’t such a bad thing really.

I’m glad to hear you are still getting creative opportunities.  I have not been down to SF in a long while and I am overdue for a visit.

Andrew

Bouncing a little hot light off the wall and onto the model. This was a tight space to work in but I think we made the best of it.My Website | Etsy Shop | Newsletter

Photographed in Astoria Oregon along the docks.
I love walking around Astoria and seeing all the ships on the horizon.  They look like people to me, relaxing on a couch after a long journey, reflecting on where they have been and where they are going next.

I had to push process this film a little bit and anyone who has ever worked with Foma film knows that a little bit of a push leads to grain, grain, and lots more grain. This is not a bad thing mind you.My Website | Etsy Shop | Newsletter
